History of Creeper Magic Mushrooms
Unlike many older strains, we actually have the entire history of Creeper magic mushrooms. For starters, Creeper mushrooms are also known as Keeper’s Creeper.
In the late ’90s and early 2000s, there was an online spore vendor called The Little Guy. At The Little Guy spore shop was a range of Psilocybin cubensis spore prints.
One day, a new strain appeared called Keeper’s Creeper. This strain was developed not by the site’s owners but by a mycologist named Keeper.
As soon as the strain became available, it quickly became a hit. As you browse the old mushroom growing forums, you can see the hype was real.
However, by around 2004, The Little guy spore shop was gone. Keeper also became less active online over the years.
Luckily, by that point, the Creeper strain was firmly in the hands of many growers. That’s why the legacy of Kreeper continues to live on until this very day.
The Appearance of Creeper Magic Mushrooms
Many growers claim that Creeper magic mushrooms are similar to the Taz strain. However, Creeper is distinct in several different ways.
First of all, Creeper grows out to a medium height and has thick and dense stems. The caps of the strain are smaller than the average cube strain and rounded.
The caps of the Creeper strain are also golden brown and sometimes have white spots on the top. Once the mushrooms dry out, the stems appear much bigger than the caps.
You might notice blue streaks or spots on your dried magic mushrooms. This blue coloration is known as bruising.
Bruising happens to all magic mushrooms because of the psilocybin content. When psilocybin reacts with the air, it turns a bluish color.
This can happen during harvest, transportation, or storage. However, bruising is natural and doesn’t affect safety or potency.
Creeper Magic Mushroom Effects
Creeper is known as a particularly psychedelic strain. That’s because the strain has incredible visual and auditory effects.
Not only that but Creeper magic mushrooms are felt heavily in the body. You’ll feel yourself melting into the floor and will find it challenging to move around for a while.
As with many other cube strains, you’ll feel a rush of euphoria that lasts throughout your entire trip.
Taking Creeper Magic Mushrooms Recreationally
This is a strain that’s perfect for a recreational experience. However, the type of recreational experience matters with Creeper.
As we mentioned, this strain is felt heavily in the body. That means that it’s perfect for having a relaxing experience.
They’re ideal for camping after a day of hiking or when you’re chilling at the beach. You’ll feel pure relaxation and joy as the Creeper magic mushrooms take hold.
As you look around you, you’ll be filled with wonder and awe at the world around you. Not only that, but you will become closer to the Earth and the people around you.
Staying home is another excellent option as you sink onto your carpet or bed. Listening to music or watching something will turn into an unforgettable experience.
Just be sure to take magic mushrooms safely and responsibly. Remember that you should never take shrooms before driving or operating anything dangerous.
It would be best to keep in mind that a psychedelic experience can last up to and over six hours. Make sure that you plan accordingly and bring enough food, water, and most of all—good vibes.
Taking Creeper Magic Mushrooms Spiritually
If you’re looking for magic mushrooms that will bring you on a spiritual experience, then Creeper is the strain for you.
Many people want to use magic mushrooms to get into a spiritual trip. A spiritual trip is a trip that can help one become more enlightened, get over trauma, or relieve anxiety and depression.
However, a spiritual trip is also a powerful one. That means that one needs to take a massive dose of magic mushrooms.
Unlike a recreational experience, a spiritual one needs careful planning and preparation. The two most important things to consider are your environment and mindset.
The environment, or where you’ll take your mushrooms, should be familiar and comfortable to you. It’s a good idea to have one sober person look after you—just in case.
The mindset is harder to control, but clearing your schedule and taking time off work helps put the mind at ease. It’s best to stay open to the experience and go in with intentions but not expectations.
Once you’re ready for your trip, you’ll need to remember to let go. Once you do, you’ll be taken on a psychedelic experience like none other.
How to Dose Creeper Magic Mushrooms
Creeper magic mushrooms have an average to an above-average potency. That means that the strain is suitable for beginners and experienced trippers.
If you’ve never dosed before, then here’s a general P. cubensis chart:
- .25 grams (g) for a threshold dose (should feel something)
- .25-1g for a light dose (recreational dose)
- 1-2.5g for a medium dose (recreational dose)
- 2.5-5g for a strong dose (recreational to spiritual dose)
- 5g+ for a heavy dose (spiritual dose)
We recommend that beginners start with 1 to 1.5 grams. It’s always best to start lower and work your way up for the best experience.
Experienced psychonauts can easily take their usual dose or start with 3 grams for a solid trip.

Not as strong as I had hoped for myself but I did take different mushrooms a little over a week ago so tolerance was there. Took 4g and had a very nice high that lasted all night but minor visuals that died down fairly fast.
A friend of a friend who doesn’t do mushrooms often tried 1/2g and was fried. He was couch locked and couldn’t stop thinking deeply about everything for about 3 hours.
Overall a decent mushroom. probably better for beginner-intermediate Psychonauts but not bad at all for experienced ones.
