This strain is perfect for anyone, whether they’re a total beginner or an experienced tripper. However, if you’d like to know all about the Winter Warrior strain, then continue reading below.
History of Winter Warrior Magic Mushrooms
The history of Winter Warrior magic mushrooms is a complete mystery. That’s because the trail goes cold once you try to dig into the background of these shrooms.
However, that doesn’t mean that they appeared out of nowhere. Our best guess is that some unknown mycologist created or discovered this strain.
This person likely passed it around to various people on the internet until it ended up in a spore bank. There’s a good chance that it had a different name than Winter Warrior at some point.
We believe that this strain is called Winter Warrior in the first place because of its cold tolerance.
We’ve found that this strain of shrooms can fruit down to 40°F (~4-5°C). That truly makes it a winter warrior. However, many other Psilocybe cubensis strains can withstand cold temperatures.
Some believe that this strain might actually be a variety of PES Amazonian or a little-known strain called Oh Canada. Whatever the story is, we’re glad that we found them.
The Appearance of Winter Warrior Magic Mushrooms
Winter Warrior magic mushrooms look incredible. They have a medium height with thick stems and medium caps when growing.
The coloration is similar to many magic mushrooms, with golden or brownish caps and a pale white stem. Another reason why people think this strain might be B+ or Amazonian is because it looks similar to them.
However, we’ve found that Winter Warrior has a thicker and denser stem than those strains. This is especially apparent when the magic mushrooms are dehydrated.
You may also notice some blue streaks or spots on your dried Winter Warrior shrooms. Don’t worry, this blue color isn’t frostbite, but something called a bruise.
Bruising happens to all magic mushrooms from harvest, transportation, or storage. Bruising is entirely natural and doesn’t affect the magic mushrooms negatively.
The Effects of Winter Warrior Magic Mushrooms
Winter Warrior has a wide range of wonderful effects. Its most pronounced effect is its visuals.
You’ll see kaleidoscopes of color, geometric shapes, breathing effects, and much more with these mushies. Not only that but you’ll also be drawn deep within your own mind.
When you’re not deep in thought, you’ll find yourself in pure euphoria as you focus on various creative tasks.
Taking Winter Warrior Magic Mushrooms Recreationally
Winter Warrior magic mushrooms are great for a recreational experience. The visual nature of these shrooms ensures a good time no matter where you are.
If you’re out in nature, you’ll be in pure awe of the incredible beauty that surrounds you. They’re great for spending a day at the beach or after a day of hiking.
However, where Winter Warrior magic mushrooms really shine is indoors. In fact, they’re great for a cozy wintry trip inside.
As we mentioned, you’ll have an incredibly introspective experience as you wrap up in a blanket and listen to music. If you want to be more active, you’ll have a great time letting your creative side flow as you paint, draw, or play an instrument.
Winter Warrior will be the perfect companion no matter what you choose to do. Just be sure to stay safe and be responsible when taking magic mushrooms.
Remember never to drive or do anything remotely dangerous after taking magic mushrooms. Always bring enough supplies with you to last your trip if you’re heading out.
Taking Winter Warrior Magic Mushrooms Spiritually
A spiritual magic mushroom experience can be life-changing. If that sounds like an exaggeration, it isn’t.
That’s because clinical research and many anecdotal reports have found that a spiritual experience can help in several different ways. Magic mushrooms can help people get over trauma, find relief for anxiety and depression relief, get over addictions, and much more.
However, having a spiritual mushroom experience isn’t a simple task. One must take a large dose of psilocybin mushrooms and let go and be open to the experience.
That’s a lot easier said than done, of course. Luckily, there are two things that help, and it’s summarized in a concept known as set and setting.
Basically, your external environment and mindset play a significant role in how a psychedelic experience turns out. So for a spiritual psychedelic experience, you’ll need to have your set and setting perfect.
The setting should be somewhere safe, familiar, and comfortable. Have someone (only one person) sober to watch you, to be safe.
The mindset is much harder to control, but you can take some time off work. Be sure to clear your schedule and take care of all immediate obligations.
Once all that’s done, you’ll just need to take a hefty dose of Winter Warrior magic mushrooms and let go.
How to Dose Winter Warrior Magic Mushrooms
Winter Warrior magic mushrooms are medium-strength magic mushrooms. That means they have about average potency as far as Psilocybe cubensis mushrooms go.
Here’s an average P. cubensis dosage chart:
- .25 grams (g) for a threshold dose (should feel something)
- .25-1g for a light dose (recreational dose)
- 1-2.5g for a medium dose (recreational dose)
- 2.5-5g for a strong dose (recreational to spiritual dose)
- 5g+ for a heavy dose (spiritual dose)
Since the Winter Warrior strain is about average, this is an excellent chart to follow. Beginners can start at 1 to 1.5 grams for their first trip.
Experienced trippers can take their usual dose or even a little more for a particularly visual trip.
